Coffee Pleasure with Coffee Fundraisers
Times are tough and virtually everybody can use an abundance of funds, especially groups and organizations. The old go to method to find cash for your association is to have a fund raiser, but everyone seems to be doing that. You will need to come up with some unique fundraiser ideas.
The fundraiser you choose depends a great deal on your group. Are you looking for fundraising ideas for educational facilities, or are you searching for ideas for fundraisers on the whole? You might not wish to use coffee for an elementary school fund raiser, but it could be an excellent highschool fundraising idea. It’s always a good idea to use an internet search engine and be as precise as possible using your search query.
It is wise to think about what you or your association considers important. Do you care about social justice? Perhaps your principles involve social equality, then Fair Trade coffee might be just the thing for you. Does your group care about the environment? Then going with an ecologically friendly product or fund raiser might be just the ticket. Looking within is definitely an excellent step. What you, or your organization holds dear is the direction you should choose for your fundraising activities.
Be inventive! You do not want to do what everyone else is doing. Hit upon something that will really make your cause stand out.
Where is your organization located? It could be there are local organizations that can provide fundraising services. For those who are located in the middle of nowhere chances are you’ll need to find an online fund raiser.
Do you intend to follow the herd? Just because most are jumping off a bridge, I don’t suggest you do the same. If there are a lot of local fundraisers from educational facilities, churches and other organizations people may me sick of fundraisers. Following the herd may work for a few of the deer, but some of them fall. If you select the same fund raiser as every other person, you may lose. Cookie dough? Please! Doing what everyone else does is the lazy method to go. Be imaginative, and continuously remember your core values.
You have to keep in mind why you’re doing this, to raise money! You must look at the gain, or margin of the product you’re selling. One thing I think about is not the percent markup, but how much cash is actually made. I’d rather toil to sell one Bentley and make $10,000 than sell fifty imports to produce the same amount. Let’s take cookie dough just as one example. Sure chances are you’ll sell 1 tub for $11.00, but your profit is simply four bucks. I like to look for items that can earn a large dollar amount per unit sold. One product that I myself know is very profitable is Fair Trade Organic Coffee. We’re talking a profit of about $6.00 per bag.
Remember to concentrate on you or your group’s core principles. Do you really want to sling candy bars? If you don’t then don’t.
Let’s face it, candy bars have been done to death. You’ll need to seek out something distinctive. What exactly is it that people actually need? take into consideration it long enough and you’ll have your answer. Organic Fair Trade coffee is an choice that I’ve witnessed work time and time again. Coffee is consumed weekly by over 80% of adult Americans, so it might be an item people can make use of. Since everyone seems to be going green, organic coffee could be an excellent choice. With all the wrongs throughout the world people care more and more for the little guy, so why not choose Fair Trade organic coffee while you’re at it? There are various organic Fair Trade coffees which are amazing and reasonably priced. You have an item people will actually use. You have got a cause that people can get behind, and better yet, almost nobody else is doing it.
Next, you should consider your upfront outlay. A number of fundraising companies require that items be purchased upfront. Other agencies will let you use order forms to take pre-sales orders before your buy. There are numerous fundraising companies which will permit you to take pre orders, but you’ll need to know if you have to deliver payment before delivery.
One thing people don’t consider is shipping expenses. Some fundraising companies will absorb shipping costs, while some charge an arm and a leg. Have you considered this factor? Do they provide free of charge shipping on orders over a particular dollar amount? If you’re not prudent shipping costs may gobble your earnings. If your fundraising company doesn’t offer free shipping ensure you receive shipping quotes on several different quantities upfront before you start selling anything.
Think about the time lines involved, especially if you are going to be taking pre orders. you will want to have an assured delivery date for your customers. You’ll have to know how long ahead of time your fundraiser company needs to handle your order and how long it’s going to take for the order to arrive. You then need to analyze the logistics of distributing the items to the recipients. If this is a school fundraiser you may want to have people pick up the items at the school on a specific day.
Finally, be sure you ensure it is fun. Stress can kill anything, so try to make it as enjoyable as possible. A cheerful, relaxed person sells more than an uptight deranged person. Bear in mind, if you believe in your cause and you find the product to sell, your fundraiser is going to be a success and your group will benefit.
