Can I use an espresso blend of beans to make french press Coffee?
Isn’t espresso just a way of making coffee? So is it not reasonable to infer that espresso blend beans could be used to make regular coffee?
Yes! Coffee Beanery’s Espresso Perfecto is awesome brewed as both espresso and regular coffee. Really any coffee can be brewed either way; as long as it’s ground correctly for the machine you are using. In your case you would be grinding the coffee coarsely for the French Press rather than fine for an Espresso Machine. Hope this helps!

Epoca PCRE6408 Coffee Press 8 Cu Red $33.15 Classic design French press consists of a narrow cylindrical glass jug equipped with a lid and a stainless plunger which fits tightly in the cylinder glass beaker and has a fine wire mesh acting as a filter. Coffee is brewed by placing the coffee and water together leaving to brew for a few minutes then depressing the plunger to trap the coffee grinds at the bottom of the glass jug. A French press requires coffee of a more coarse grind than that used for a drip brew coffee filter such as produced by a burr mill grinder rather than the whirling blade variety as a finer grind will seep through the press filter and into the coffee. Because the coffee grounds remain in direct contact with the brewing water and the grinds are filtered from the water via a mesh instead of a paper filter coffee brewed with the French press captures more of the coffee s flavor and essential oils which would become trapped in a traditional drip brew machine s paper filters. French pressed coffee is usually stronger and thicker and has more sediment than dripbrewed coffee. Dimension: 4.5 x 5.8 x 9.8 . Primula Classic 8cup coffee press brews delicious coffee. Stainlesssteel filter and parts. Heavy glass insert removes for easy cleaning. Elegant chrome frame and chrome domed lid in metallic red. Large black ergonomic handle makes for easy pouring. |

Unlike some presses that use polycarbonate containers this one (model PCP6408) has a heavy glass insert that can be removed for easy cleaning either in a dishwasher or preferably by hand. A threecup version of the press is also available; both make excellent gifts for the coffee lover. Many coffee aficionados believe the Frenchpress plunger method of brewing is the best way to bring out the richest flavor of the beans. This coffee press employs that method to brew eight cups of aromatic coffee. To use simply put mediumtocoarse ground coffee in the bottom of the glass container add hot (not boiling) water wait approximately three minutes and slowly press down the plunger with the stainlesssteel mesh filter. All the grounds will be captured below the filter leaving the coffee ready to pour and enjoy. Classic design french press consists of a narrow cylindrical glass jug equipped with a lid and a stainless plunger which fits tightly in the cylinder glass beaker and which has a fine wire mesh acting as a filter. Bodum Chambord French Press Coffee Maker $50.75 The reason the French press coffeemaker has become one of the most popular coffeemakers in the world is pure and simple – taste. The materials are completely taste-free so nothing comes between your ground coffee beans. This is exactly the reason why coffee tasters use this method to determine the quality of coffee beans. The 3-part stainless steel plunger has a fine mesh filter, which allows for a premium extraction of your coffees aromatic oils and subtle flavors. A mesh filter allows this flavor to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. Plus, no paper filter means no waste! The patented safety lid prevents the splashing of liquids while pressing. When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982, it was not because of the fine orchestra clarinets they were producing but because of a relatively unknown coffee maker called the Chambord that they produced as well. Simplicity works best and is the reason why the Chambords design has not changed a bit from its original drawing. Sizes: 12 Ounce (approx. 3 servings) – 3 L x 5.375 W x 7.5 H 34 Ounce (approx. 8 servings) – 4.25 L x 6.875 W x 9.75 H |
