plastic containers & Food Storage doubt?

Should dry food ingredients like sugar, Coffee powder, tea powder, chilly powder , nuts,flour etc be stored only in food safe plastics ? Or any plastic container is alright? I am concerned about plastic leaching into ingredients.
I know it is not good to store cooked food in non safe plastic containers. But does it hold the same for dry food
ingredients also? Clarify please.

that is the only way to store them. plastic has less air that gets into it. Glass is better, but if you have kids, you want to use plastic. Please, to get anything from plastic, you would have to eat it straight for 10 years to get a disease from it. It has been around longer than you and I, and no one we know has gotten cancer from plastic.
